A Great Weekend!

What a great Thanksgiving weekend! The Smith's visited briefly on their way to WV, Jason ran his first Turkey Trot (5 miles! He was awesome!), brunch with the Dunn's, dinner at home, a Christmas tree and a Michigan win! We wish we had more long weekends! Hope you're all having a great Monday!

HAIL!

Hey Mom! HAIL to the VICTORS!

It is a good day in Ohio... for Michigan fans! It seems that the tides have finally turned as today, Michigan took back the wheel! Brady Hoke has proven his worth, what a great coach! We are especially grateful as it spares us another year of relentless and annoying buckeye prodding.

I'll likely be cleaning eggs from the garage tomorrow..

Griff was getting in on the excitement too!

Final Score:
Wolverines: 40
Buckeyes: 34

Series Record: Michigan Leads, 58-43-6

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

"What if you woke up tomorrow with only the things you thanked God for today?"

I heard this question a few months ago and have spent many nights running down a long list of things that I am thankful for, just in case... I've since challenged myself to thank God for our blessings more often and it's not surprising that I always begin with 'our loved ones'. Jason and I are blessed with loving families and friends -- and an amazing little boy who makes us laugh every day. We thank God for him, and all of you!

May your Thanksgiving be a blessed one.

Love, Anna Jason & Griff

So many girls!

According to Wikipedia, there is a slight gender imbalance in the world population -- males usually out number females at birth. I believe there is a disparity in these numbers, because everyone I know keeps having girls!!

In the last few years, my good friends from both Columbus and Traverse City (and Cincinnati!) have helped to tip the gender imbalance back into the females' favor :

Madelyn Mary
Madelyn Mo
Emmy Lake
Aubrey Sage
Emma Sayre
Quinn Kelly
Gabrielle Marie
Elyse Matilda
Isabelle Wynn
Sophie
Elizabeth Grace
Everly Luella
Tessa Helen

Last weeks additions:
Gretchen Grace
Charlotte Elizabeth
& 2 more girls on the way!

Griffin has a few dudes to hang out with: Owen, Shea and Blake! And his cousins in T.C.!

What Life is All About?

Amen!

Recent lessons from Griffin:

Enjoy your food! (even if it's the dogs' food and you know you're supposed to stay out of it).

Visit your Grammy!

Be cool enough to wear your cowboy hat to the Doctors office (he wouldn't take it off and wanted me to wear mine too - we were a sight).

Push the limits! (last weeks trip to the science center, he HAD to drag the buggy up the stairs to the "tree fort").

Wear your pants on your head!

When you don't have a proper chair, improvise! (watching Baby Einstein on the computer, while sitting on couch cushions!)

Kentuck Knob and Falling Water

Two weeks ago, Jason and I spent a Saturday in Mills Run, Pennsylvania, touring the incredible architectural wonders of Frank Lloyd Wright. First we saw Kentuck Knob and then traveled 7 miles down the road to see Falling Water, his most famous residential design.

Kentuck Knob

Looking into the living room at Falling Water

The veranda and living room that cantilevers over Bear Run.

This was the coolest part! A staircase leading down to the water, so that you can swim or fish from the living room! Amazing!

Looking upstream to the house (which was completed in 1937!), it was a very busy day at Falling Water, but so worth it! I got to cross it off of my bucket list! (Falling Water in the Fall!).

Our Little Pumpkin!

This week we made a visit to an apple farm/pumpkin patch and Griff had a great time watching a front end loader.... and he liked the pumpkins too. :) Hope you're enjoying fall!

The Rules

I remember my childhood as magical and happy (even when my brother was tormenting me) and I find joy all over again at the wonder in little Griff's eyes! Have a great day!

Griff, 13 month photos

I took some photos of the little man last week while visiting my parents! He's such a ham!

Peepaw and Caleb.

The neighbors have a huge garden, we wandered over there for a bit and played in the wheat!

Playing at the beach.
